Auckland Dharma Function 2014.04.14 – Guest Speaker
[From the Editor] The following is the translation of a speech made by a guest speaker at “The Art of Applying Comprehensive Metaphysics” grand Dharma Function in Auckland, New Zealand on 14th April 2014.
Hello everyone, I’m a Buddhist follower from Auckland, New Zealand. At the end of 2012, I heard of Master Lu and attended previous Dharma functions but I did not start practising as I did not have complete faith in the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door. Although it has existed for many years, I never knew about it.
When I was 29, I experienced a karmic pass, which gave me the opportunity to learn about the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door.
Before I was ignorant, but when the karmic pass occurred, all I could think about was the Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Master Lu. During this period, I felt hopeless so I decided to have a go at reciting for the Little Houses which I found was quite similar to the scripture that I took home from a temple in Auckland. My cultivation journey began when I started performing the daily recitation and recitations for little houses.
Approximately one month after I started reciting for the little houses, I had several unforgettable dreams. There was one dream in particular, that led me to develop complete faith in the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door.
In this dream, the Guan Yin Bodhisattva appeared and took me to the sky where I saw a blue globe. The Guan Yin Bodhisattva pointed out that the blue and green lights on the globe were artificially added. After that, the Guan Yin Bodhisattva gave me blessings on my head which caused a calming sensation throughout my body and it made me feel as if I was been enlightened and given wisdom. It was amazing. I experienced a whole new feeling which made me feel as if I had been revived.
My understanding of Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s words is that there are many roads but no clear path. However, when many undertake the same road, a clear path is paved out for the rest of us. Also, the lights and colours around us are meaningless if we do not exist. However, if we do not exist, then everything is meaningless no matter how busy it is.
I really appreciate the great merciful and great compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Master Lu! The Guan Yin Bodhisattva not only saved my life but has also provided me with wisdom and a new understanding to life. Everything that I have today was given to me by the Guan Yin Bodhisattva. When I look back to the times when I have experienced misfortunes, I always feel that the Guan Yin Bodhisattva was there with me, blessing and guiding me.
After all those misfortunes I have experienced, I now understand they occurred for a reason. They have all contributed to and advanced my Buddhist practice.
One day while I was cooking, I was suddenly drawn to one of Master Lu’s books. At the time, my aunt dropped by and introduced me to Master Lu when she saw the book. During our chat, she asked me whether I believed in Buddha and I told her how my grandma used to take me to the temple. After our chat, I began to learn about the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door.
In December 2012, my family and I attended the dharma function held in Auckland. My mother-in-law who used to practice Qi Kong told us during the convention that there was an aurora around Master Lu’s body, which was not visible on the screen.
I did not take the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door seriously after the dharma function as I did not have complete faith. I would not have believed in Guan Yin Bodhisattva if that particular misfortune did not occur. The karmic pass I experienced when I was 29 made me realize that it might be the end for me. However, during this hopeless period, all I could do was think of the Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Master Lu.
I gave the Little Houses a try. After I offered some, I dreamt of my grandfather who passed away 10 years ago. In that dream, he said something to me and then left. I also had a dream where my aunt gave a large amount of money to my grandmother which surprised her. We told her it was real which led her to happily accept it.
There is another dream where I dealt of stars flashing and moving in the sky. The stars then turned into a very large image of the Guan Yin Bodhisattva. I told the people around me to look up at the sky and then the Guan Yin Bodhisattva began to sprinkle water onto the globe. My wife has also dreamt that Master Lu has appeared in our house several times to look at Totem and Feng Shui while I often dream of the Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Master Lu. I have also dreamt about my previous lives which made me firmly believe that the six realms of rebirth is true. From my dreams, I saw that I have suffered a lot in my previous lives.
We should really treasure the Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Master Lu who has brought to us such a great Dharma door.
Everything seems to be aligned. I got to meet Dharma friends who have inspired and guided me warm heatedly. Then I met Sandy here in Auckland who led me to join the New Zealand Guan Yin Citta Buddhist study group and this has given me the opportunity to be here with you and share with you my cultivation journey.
I really appreciate the help and encouragements from my fellow cultivators along this journey. Also, I really appreciate the blessings of the Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Master Lu.
The Guan Yin Bodhisattva is real and is always blessing and guiding me. Although I am unable to see her, I can feel her around me.I hope more people will hear about this in the future. We are nobody before or after we die.
My body will not last forever, but my soul will. There is no end if we return to the six realms of rebirth again. However, we are able to escape from the circle of rebirth in the human realm as long as we continue to do good deeds.
We should follow the guan yin bodhisattva while we are in the human realm because it will help us learn about the causality and gain a better understanding and be able to solve the problems we encounter in life.
Deepest gratitude to the Great Merciful and Great Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva Mahasattva!
Deepest gratitude to the Great Merciful and Great Compassionate Master Lu!
